If you're like me, you may have been told that working out is supposed to be hard and boring. But how does that work? Why does everyone say it's so important to "go hard" on your body? Who says that?
The truth is that if we don't challenge ourselves in the gym, we'll never grow into our full potential as athletes or people—and whatever progress we do make will be slow and steady. So instead of trying to force yourself into being someone you're not, why not make fitness something interesting? Maybe there's a dance class at your gym this week—wouldn't it be awesome if you went and had fun while learning new moves? Or maybe your trainer has a special intro course where she teaches you how to use resistance bands—wouldn't it be great if she was teaching her favorite songs as part of the workout?
